Love and hate are the most basic emotions and at times so close that they are barely distinguishable. Crimes of passion, based on the perception that betrayal exists, can be explosive.


Studying these situations with the goal of defusing them is the goal of law enforcement, and the health care professionals who are charged with dealing with the fallout from these effects.


(Examples of those who will become the subject of these examinations include OJ Simpson, and NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak, and her attempted murder of the other woman.)

The word creature is used advisedly because often these people "practice" on animals. Animal torture in childhood is one of the markers of a serial killer.


There are also sub-categories of Serial Murder and I hope you will try to identify the specific type of serial murder is examples in these case studies. For instance, representing some of the different categories, John Wayne Gacy was an example of a pedophile,  Jeffrey Dahmer was an example of a cannibal. David Berkowitz is another interesting case. I want us to decide if he was a Satanist, part of a cult of killers, or if he was a paranoid schizophrenic. These are the predominant schools of thought on him. We will solicit the opinions of experts also to get their analysis also.

Perhaps we can at least bring a level of understanding so that we can put an end to this type of crime. In my opinion, this is the easiest behavior to overcome because it is based on ignorance.
