Fundamental Islamic women who violate the very strict code of conduct are often seen as shameful, a shame which is shared with her family. Blood sacrifice is required by some sects of Islam and these shamed women are executed. This topic examines this custom and the reasons for it. As Islam is more and more under the social microscope these behaviors are reported more often in the news. We will take the opportunity to study this behavior. We will also look at some other oppressive Islamic behaviors, such as clitorectomies.
